Ancient geometric thought is a meditation on metaphysical unity that attempts to visualize oneness. A two-dimensional representation of form links concrete forms with abstract realms of thought and connects us into resonance with universal order, found in all systems of belief. Sacred architecture often embodies symbolism composed of geometrically designed cosmic structures representational of space and time through proportions and ratios that resonate with the geometry of creation. Space turns into symbol and symbol into space.
Common thread explores the relationship between sacred geometry and diverse spaces of worship within the context of unity, a philosophic concept and mystical experience that is expressed mathematically. Weaving sacred geometric symbols into various vintage postcards of sacred structures, the process becomes meditative and the object acts as a reminder of a universal understanding that highlights unification over division.
